I was so interested in reading this book when I first heard the premise! It’s a (very) timely subject on multiple fronts.
But it ended up feeling a bit like “I’m not sure we are cringing at the same thing?”
I’ve made no secret of the fact that I struggle with novels that contain zero likable characters and this is no exception. Please give me SOMEONE that feels redeemable!
I will say that when/if Caro Claire Burke writes another novel, I will probably read it. The writing itself flowed and the plot moved forward at a decent pace.
Overall, it’s a “meh” from me.
